Waste Composition Analysis 2023

Published: 16th November 2023

Waste Composition Study

Integrated Skills Ltd has been contracted by the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, and Richmond upon Thames and the West London Waste Authority (WLWA) to carry out a waste composition study.

The aim of the study is to learn the types of waste collected from households. The results of this study will help the Boroughs and WLWA improve the waste service. Once the waste has been analysed, the recyclable items will be sent for recycling, with the remaining waste being sent for disposal. West London Waste Authority is overseeing this project on behalf of the six Boroughs.

Please be assured that no individual house can be identified in this study as the waste from multiple properties is combined at the point of collection and there is no way of telling the individual sources.

The police and their local call centres have also been notified of this activity.
