Fixing Factory

Here at the Fixing Factory, we are fixing our relationship with disposable tech. You can give your things a new lease of life. Laptop not working as it should? Our talented and creative group of fixers will help you repair your stuff and teach you new skills.

Our Mission:

· Empower local communities by teaching them new repair skills

· Slash carbon emissions by diverting items from waste

· Close the digital divide by providing equal access to devices

Brent Fixing Factory fixes laptops and tablets, which would otherwise end up as electronic waste.

Situated in the heart of Abbey Road Household Reuse and Recycling Centre, laptops are rescued from waste streams, repaired and given back to someone in the community who really needs it.

Donate Your Device

You can donate your unused laptops, tablets and desktops at:

Your donated devices will be refurbished by our expert volunteers, then given a new home with someone in the local community who needs it.

We take GDPR very seriously. The Fixing Factory has strict GDPR protection measures in place to prevent misuse of data. Our staff are fully vetted, trained and inducted to reset and wipe laptops without accessing the data contained on the devices - so you can rest assured that even if you haven't wiped it before donation, it will be wiped during our refurbishment process. All laptops are stored in a securely locked office fully covered by CCTV. This is only accessible to Fixing Factory supervisory staff.
