WLWA Tendering for Transport Service Provider
West London Waste Authority is currently tendering for Transport and Associated Services to harmonise the transport of residual waste between the eight Household Re-use and Recycling Centres (HRRC) and the Authority’s rail waste transfer stations at Transport Avenue, Brentford and Victoria Road, South Ruislip.
The procurement also incorporates the transport of recyclable materials such as wood, hardcore, soil etc separated at the HRRCs to our road waste transfer station on Abbey Road, Brent and other various end treatment locations.
Currently these activities are undertaken by a number of different contractors, and aim of the procurement is it to reduce interface issues, reduce costs and maximise performance. The successful bidders will generally need to utilise artic/bulk haulage vehicles, roll on roll off wagons and be able to provide open top bins for rent by WLWA where required.
