Recycle
Yes that’s right you can recycle old textiles. Bobbly jumpers, out of shape tops, ripped and stained skirts all ideal specimens to send off for recycling.
It’s quick and easy to recycle and you have a few choices about how you do it:
- Put it in a bag clearly marked rags and take it to the charity shop of your choice. They’ll send it for recycling and may even get an income for it too.
- Put it in your kerbside collection if you have one – check your local services first.
- Take it to a recycling bank, find your nearest using your postcode to search on the recycle now locator. Drop it off whenever is convenient, all the items put in the recycling bank will be sorted (there may be things that could be re-used in there) and then sent off to be re-used or recycled.
