Wanted – Love Christmas Hate Waste Champions
We’re looking for individuals, couples and families to challenge themselves to go green with us this Christmas and write about what they’re doing.
We can give you a helping hand to save money, the environment and time over the festive season with ideas to reduce, re-use and recycle items that would normally end up in the bin.
From mid-November until mid-January, throughout the preparation, celebrating and the winding down from Christmas we’ll be with you every step of the way to help you avoid waste of things, effort and money by reducing, re-using and recycling.
Our theme weeks cover some of the big things you’ll be doing including gift shopping, festive food and Christmas parties. For 10 weeks we’ll provide you with ideas, tips and support to help you get the most from your time, money and the holidays with little or no increase in the amount of rubbish that goes in your bin. You can choose how much you do each week, whether you feel inspired to do loads or just one thing that’s alright with us.
Want to challenge yourself and talk about it?
Yes you do! It’s really easy to take part and tell others – just email or call us on 020 8814 9801 (and do it today). We’ll create a short profile of you on our Love Christmas Hate Waste webpages and each week post some of your thoughts, comments and actions for the challenge on there too. If you’ve got a Facebook account you’ll also be able to post and chat with others taking the challenge on the Love Christmas Hate Waste page.
If you have questions about what taking the challenge and talking about it involves visit the questions section in the Love Christmas Hate Waste section of our website.
