In 1840 the first stamp was used in the UK, it is now one of the most valuable stamps in the world. The stamps we use today also have a value after they’ve been used.
- Use electronic communication. Send an email or an e-card.
- Put more than one item in an envelope – check the weight and size before posting
- Cut used stamps off envelopes, save them up and donate them to charity. The charity will get money for the stamps.
