Do you love Christmas but hate waste?
Take up the winter reduce, re-use, recycling challenge.
We can give you a helping hand to save money, the environment and time over the festive season with ideas to reduce, re-use and recycle items that would normally end up in the bin.
From mid-November until January, throughout the preparation, celebrating and the winding down from Christmas we’ll be with you every step of the way to help you avoid waste of things, effort and money by reducing, re-using and recycling.
Our theme weeks cover some of the big things you’ll be doing including gift shopping, festive food and Christmas parties. For 8 weeks we’ll provide you with ideas, tips and support to help you get the most from your time, money and the holidays with little or no increase in the amount of rubbish that goes in your bin. You can choose how much you do each week, whether you feel inspired to do loads or just one thing that’s alright with us.
Want to challenge yourself and talk about it?
Yes you do! It’s really easy to take part and tell others – just like our Love Christmas Hate Waste facebook page and follow us on twitter so you can post and tweet what you do and your tips to share with everyone else.
You can find out more about Love Christmas Hate Waste in the It’s Christmas section on our website.
