Love Christmas Hate Waste
Welcome to the Challenge
Need some new ideas for having a fabulous Christmas on a smaller budget than last year? Fed up with seeing piles of black bags full of rubbish after Christmas? Wondering how you’re going to fit in getting ready for Christmas around everything else you need to do?
We can give you a helping hand to save money, the environment and time over the festive season with ideas to reduce, re-use and recycle items that would normally end up in the bin.
From mid-November until January, throughout the preparation, celebrating and the winding down from Christmas we’ll be with you every step of the way to help you avoid waste of things, effort and money by reducing, re-using and recycling.
Our theme weeks cover some of the big things you’ll be doing including gift shopping, festive food and Christmas parties. For 8 weeks we’ll provide you with ideas, tips and support to help you get the most from your time, money and the holidays with little or no increase in the amount of rubbish that goes in your bin. You can choose how much you do each week, whether you feel inspired to do loads or just one thing that’s alright with us.
Each week you’ll be able to find new information on our website with ideas, tips and mini challenges. We also have a Love Christmas Hate Waste Facebook page where you can post your tips and suggestions and we’ll be putting out even more on Twitter
