Richmond Council will be hosting a Compost Giveaway and WEEE Take Back Day on Sunday, 7th May 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Road Car Park in Twickenham. There will be ten tonnes of compost to give away on a first come first served basis. Please note compost will be limited to two free bags per household.
WLWA will be on hand together with Richmond Council’s Waste and Recycling Team and Veolia to provide general waste and recycling advice and information about composting. Compost can easily be made at home using garden waste, as well as everyday waste items such as peelings, teabags, coffee grounds, filter paper, scrunched up newspaper and cardboard. Residents will also be able to bring their small unwanted electrical items for recycling. Please only bring items that can comfortably fit in a household wheelie bin (240Litre).
