Repair Cafe Brent
Date and time
Saturday 10 November 2018
11:00am - 2:00pm
The Granville Community Centre, Kilburn
Repair Café Brent opens its doors for the first time between 11am – 2pm on Saturday 10th November, at the Granville Community Centre in Kilburn, Brent.
Brent residents are invited to bring damaged clothes, broken bicycles and small faulty electrical items to the Repair Café where they can learn to fix them for free, over some delicious tea and cake.
TRAID will be armed with needles, thread and sewing machines to help you mend your clothes so you can wear them again. Dr Bike will be on hand to get your bikes back on the road, and Restarters Kilburn will be there to help with electrical repairs from phones to toasters.
The Repair Café is run by the West London Waste Authority, community organisations and volunteers willing to share their skills. It’s a collaborative space where the community can learn simple repair skills to keep their things in use for longer.
