To celebrate Fashion Revolution Week, West London Waste Authority will be hosting a live tweet chat on 26th April from 1-2 pm on textile waste with fashion industry experts.
Annually in the UK we throw away roughly 350,000 tonnes of clothing and textiles worth over £140 million. In west London most of this ends up being burned for energy recovery, which is not the best use of clothing for our economy or environment.
We want to look at best practices for reducing textile waste and explore whether fast fashion can slow down its impact on the environment.
