Harrow-on-the-Hill May Day Festival
Date and time

Harrow on the Hill
The West London Waste team will be at the Harrow-on-the-Hill May Day Festival on Sunday 30th April from 12:00 – 5:00 pm. This year the May Day Festival takes on a green theme, celebrating the local environment of the Hill and how to protect it for future generations. Join us for an afternoon of fun, food, music, dancing and activities for kids big and small.
We will have a collection box for unwanted small electrical items. If you have any small items such as cables, mobile phones, game consoles, etc. bring them along so we can recycle them for you.
We will also be giving out handy tips and ideas for minimising food waste. We’ll have recycling information as well as details about our Get Swishing campaign to reduce textile waste and our free west London nappy pack available to all parents in Harrow for a three week period.
The annual May Day Festival will have something for everyone with activities for kids, local history walks and exhibitions, entertainment and local restaurant food stalls. Why not come down and support your local community!
For more information about the festival visit the Harrow May Day Festival website. For more information about West London Waste, you can ring us on 020 8825 9468 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Fashion Revolution Week
It’s Fashion Revolution Week and we’re celebrating to raise awareness of textile waste. Did you know in the UK we throw away roughly 350,000 tonnes of clothing and textiles worth over £140 million annually. In west London most of this ends up being burned for energy recovery – not the best use of clothing for our economy…
