West London Waste will be joining Ealing Council’s Recycling Team to host their annual Compost Giveaway on Sat 12th May 2018 at Walpole Park.
The event begins at 8am and will run till 4pm or until the 20 tonnes of free compost is gone. The compost will be located at the Mattock Lane entrance of Walpole Park.
Residents are asked to come along with their own bags, containers, spades or shovels as the compost will be loose. The compost will be delivered on the day and residents will be able to take home about 100 litres of free compost – please remember to bring your own bag and a spade/shovel.
Compost can easily be made at home using garden waste, as well as everyday waste items such as peelings, teabags, coffee grounds, filter paper and scrunched up newspaper and cardboard. Discounted compost bins are available to Ealing residents at the Get Composting website.
