Electricals Recycling Events
We are pleased to announce a series of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) recycling events across our six west London boroughs. If your printer’s in pieces or your razor’s beyond repair then now’s the perfect time to clear out your unwanted small electrical items and bring them to us for recycling.
We’ll take most small electrical items, i.e. anything that has a plug or works with batteries, as long as they are small enough to fit in a carrier bag. Examples include – hairdryers, drills, toasters, game consoles, laptops, blenders, electric toothbrushes, battery operated toys, mobile phones, tablets, wires, cables, small speakers, radios, modems, digital tv boxes, etc.
Please remove any batteries and separate any ink cartridges from your items before dropping them off, as these can be recycled separately. Don’t delay– clear out for the new year and bring along the items you no longer use to one of the following locations listed between the dates shown.
WEEE Recycling Collection Dates and Locations
Collection times are the same as the opening times for each venue so they may vary. Please click on the link for opening hours at each location.
Can’t Make it?
Don’t worry if these dates or locations don’t work for you. You can always bring your unwanted electricals to a local recycling bank. Use this handy Recycling Tool to locate your closest recycling facilities. You can also drop off items at your local Household Reuse & Recycling Centre (HRRC). More information on HRRC’s in west London can be found here.
Alternatively, you can host your own WEEE bring event. Putting on a local community electrical recycling event is easy to organise and something almost everyone can join in with. Have a look at our Recycling WEEE Bring Event Guide to find out everything you need to know or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org for help and advice.
Remember WEEE are here to help so please contact us if you have any further recycling questions!
